Artist's Statement:
My creative soul was inspired by a desire to evoke my emotions at the deepest level with vibrant colored swirls that exude off the canvas and into the heart of the viewer.

Biography:
Renea was born in Houston, Texas where she was raised with her three brothers. She traveled abroad only to return to Houston where her heart belongs and where she resides with her two children.

Her journey began over a decade ago. As a professional international model, she traveled the globe to some of the most exotic locations in the world. During this time, her sense of style was heavily influenced by Spanish, Mexican, and European cultures. Having returned to the States, Renea was a self-taught artist who achieved early success in her new career. Later, Renea studied under Artist, JD Miller of Dallas, Texas.

The bold influence that is revealed in Renea's artwork was inspired by many facets of her individualism. Part of this is the result of her male siblings and her extensive travels abroad. The expression that is captivated in her dramatic pieces of beauty placed on canvas is nothing less than breath-taking. The treasured memories of growing up with her three brothers are much different than one would expect. Playing tackle football, camping, crabbing, and fishing off Pier 61 on Galveston Island are not directly reflected in her art work, but a little piece of her soul is released into each piece. These experiences have left Renea with little fear of trying new things and an appreciation of the outdoors  This along with her travels sculpted Renea into the artist that she is today.

In her art, the paintings display the intricate marriage of vibrant colors that inspire the movement of the imagination in a textured oasis. Her artistic abilities as part painter and part sculptor are truly amazing and evident in the complexity of each swirl she creates.

About Artexpo

The 32nd annual international Artexpo returns to New York in 2010 with a NEW look and a NEW location: Pier 94 on the Hudson River–the unconventional convention center.

International Artexpo is the world’s largest fine art trade show, providing dealers with access to thousands of wholesale works from artists and publishers in one single venue. Over its 30-year history, Artexpo New York has hosted many of the world’s most renowned artists, including Andy Warhol, Peter Max, Robert Rauschenberg, Robert Indiana and Leroy Neiman.

Artexpo New York 2010 is shaping up to be our best show yet! We’re expecting to have over 400 innovative exhibiting artists, galleries and publishers from across the globe, showcasing exciting original artwork, prints, paintings, drawings, sculpture, photography, ceramics, giclee, lithographs, glass works and more, all under one roof. Trumping last year with more exhibitors and additional square footage, the show plans to host more than 25,000 buyers and art enthusiasts.

Our 2010 International Artexpo Education Series will offer three days of seminars and conference classes in two state-of-the-art theatres. These courses will offer expert perspectives on subjects ranging from art and the economy, small business management and art marketing, to social media for artists and more.

The popular “SOLO” show will also return, with more than 250 of the world’s top emerging, independent artists exhibiting and selling their work in the hopes of being discovered. A new addition to this year’s SOLO show will be a “SOLO Jury” composed of influencers and tastemakers from the design, fashion, art and culture worlds who will critique and nominate SOLO’s “best in show.”
